How much does counseling cost?
$200 for 45-50 minute session
-
Do you accept insurance?
I am out-of-network to ensure that there is no disruption in our work together. If your insurance covers out-of-network providers, I can provide you with regular "superbills" to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Inclusivity Statement
My practice is a safe space for people of all colors, backgrounds, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and walks of life. There is no room for hate or discrimination here. You belong here, exactly as you are.

Can we meet in person?
Yes! I offer both in person sessions at my office (Chester Springs, PA) as well as virtual appointments via Zoom
-
How often do we meet?
Counseling once a week is ideal, but the frequency really depends on the client, presenting issues, and treatment goals. Motivation, effort, frequency of meetings, and life circumstances all contribute to this journey. Some specific problems can be addressed in a relatively brief time period, while long standing issues may require a longer treatment commitment.
This is something we will discuss at our first appointment.

Is what I say in counseling confidential?
Everything said in therapy is strictly confidential and cannot be released without your written consent. However, there are several important exceptions to confidentiality: (1) reasonable belief that a child, elder, or dependent adult has been or is being abused, (2) if the client makes a serious threat of harm to another person, and (3) if the client demonstrates danger to self.
As a licensed MFT, I am a mandated reporter and legally required to report these exceptions to the appropriate authorities.

What is virtual therapy?
I like to say that one of the few positive things that came out of the COVID pandemic was the introduction of virtual therapy. Also known as Telehealth, online platforms such as Zoom have given us an accessible and convenient way to attend therapy when in-person sessions are not a preferable option. Virtual therapy has become an increasingly popular option for individuals seeking therapy. I treat them exactly as I would an in-person session, with the understanding that we let one another know if there is an interruption or breach of privacy.
Virtual therapy eliminates the need to commute to a therapist's office, which saves time and reduces travel costs. It also allows us to still attend session if one of us is feeling under the weather, if there is a transportation issue, or if the weather is bad.
I provide clients with a Zoom link via email before each session.
